How do I live my life thru 25 questions
I know, I know. Just let me welcome my birthday month :) It is my most favorite month of the year. Huhu. Narcissist indeed :))
I planned to review the past 24 years of my life last Monday. Pero as my REAL friends know, I cannot write kapag masaya ako :) Kewl no. Thoughts flow with my tears.
I thought of sharing my personal opinions for this entry. Naisip ko, by that, I can share to you what kind of person I grew up into. So this is my first time to answer a list of questions. I actually searched Google for "25 life questions" Lol
In fact, you are entitled to judge me based on my answers. Haha. Sort of social suicide ito :))
- What is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you aren’t dying?
- Okay. First question, medyo ganitohan agad. I am a certified depressed person. Through the years, I developed this character of being sad almost everyday. Rejections, misinterpretations, etc. I experience them almost everyday. I started to realize it when I gave up on pleasing my mom. The most important person I wanted to please cannot see my efforts. So para saan pa buhay ko di ba? Haha. So to answer the question, I learned to be numb, to ignore the feeling of being helpless. Chill lang. Live life. Enjoy life and simultaneously, break everything inside you.
- Do you believe in the death penalty? What if someone murdered your mother in cold blood? What if someone murdered a stranger’s mother, but saved your life the month before?
- Nasagot ko na ito nung kasagsagan ng elections dito sa PH. You have no right to take away a thing that you did not give. Kahit gaano kasama ang tao, you have no right to tell that person that he or she is worthy to die thru death penalty.
- If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
- Lifetime. Yuichi. He talks like he is my conscience. Hmm.. More kind or more evil depending on what the situation/scenario calls for.
- Would you rather be rich and paralyzed from the waist down or poor and able bodied?
- Poor and able bodied. Apologies if I would offend some, but I feel really sorry PWDs. They cannot enjoy the creation God gave to us. Kaya super amaze and hands down ako to those disabled pero lives life cheerfully.
- What’s the most expensive gift you have ever received? Is it the best gift you have ever received?
- Hmm. Material to no. Hmmm.. Someone gave me a watch. No, it is not the best gift. For me, you give gifts with meaning. I thought that someone tried to tell me that she needs me every second of each day. Yun pala, she was trying to say, we were running out of time for our lives and I have to leave you na *rofl*
- When was the last time you lied? Is it possible to lie without saying anything at all?
- Di ko matandaan actually. Or everytime someone asks why I resigned sa previous work ko. Depende sa taong nagtanong kung ano isasagot ko. Well, it is impossible to enumerate all my reason to everyone who asks about it :)) And to answer the second question, yep of course. (Edited from here) Forgot to tell you na I am not a good liar. Kita agad sa mata ko pag nagllie ako haha. Kaya pag di kita tinignan sa mata (unless shempre crush kita) maghinala ka na :))
- Stealing is immoral, right? But what if stealing was the only way to feed a starving child?
- God lets every situation/scenario to be solved in a right way. Maraming solutions, ikaw na bahala pumili. Parang sa math, may equation tapos ikaw na bahala pano mo sasagutan -mangopya, magcompute which offers different ways din, pero may isang tamang sagot lang. So, To feed a starving child, you actually have so many ways to do that without stealing in your choices.
- If I gave you $20, what percentage would you – really – save? If I gave you $200,000, what percentage would you save? Should there be a difference?
- Well, books say to save 10% of it, whatever the amount is. Sagutin ko lang ba yung question or magsshare din ako? :))
- If someone could tell you the exact day and time that you are going to die, would you want them to tell you?
- Nope. I do not want it to affect how will I live my life.
- If you found out you were going to die today, would you have any regrets? Would you be happy with the way you spent the last 24 hours of your life?
- No regrets and will die happily.
- What’s your single greatest moment of personal failure? Looking back on it now, did it make you weaker or stronger? What did you learn?
- That I did not do my best during college. I am trying to save myself from the nightmares of it thru this course I am taking up.
- Do the words ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’ mean not being persecuted or discriminated against, or do they mean doing whatever you please?
- I will use freedom as I am more familiar with it. You are entitled to do things freely but freedom goes along with responsibility. You do things and you are still a human who has a responsibility with, well, things. For example, you bash a person. Yes, you are free to voice out your opinions pero yung responsibility mo as a person who lives in this earth with your co-creatures says that you should respect each other.
- Have you ever discriminated against someone? Imagine that a street gang notorious for wearing purple shirts has robbed and murdered several hundred people in your town. If a man wearing a purple shirt just rang your doorbell, would you answer it?
- Oooh. Tough question. 100 people is obviously greater than 40 in which in statistics is considered as a valid sample size. And lalo pa at concentrated since sinabi na "in your town" Hahahaha. But thinking if I ever discriminated anyone, yes. Sa previous work ko siguro *wink*
- Is it crazier to choose to be poor or to spend 40 years of your life hating 40 hours a week?
- Oh god. Of course yung latter. Pero mapapagod ka din eh. But you just have to rest. It is just 40 hours out of 168 hours per week. Wala pang 25%.
- Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough time? How many hours a week do you spend watching TV, or playing video games, or…?
- Um, wrong timing ata ang question na ito. I am currently unemployed. So I have lots of time to sleep, do what I want, have coffee, watch movies, contemplate life.. :)
- Do you ever celebrate the green lights?
- Yes of course, pag ikaw nagddrive. And yes pa din kapag sa side ng pedestrian, you have few seconds to think about things which you cannot do once the red light beamed at you since you are required to continue life.
- If you could be given another talent or ability, what would you want it to be? Have you ever – really – tried to perfect this ability in yourself?
- Dance? Haha. No, never tried to improve this one. I grew up being contented that I have no creative talent to share :))
- No matter how bad things get, are you aware that someone always has it worse than you do?
- Yes of course. Pero mas iniisip ko na sana walang nakakaexperience ng ganon. For example, heartbreaks.
- When you help someone, do you ever think, “What’s in it for me?”
- No. I help because that is what my heart and mind agreed to do.
- Joy is found with simple awareness. What does your joy look like today?
- Joy is when I watched my teacher explain why we have to make our 3-hour class to a 6-hour class starting next week. I felt her concern for us. Passion. Her passion for teaching was evident that time. Dun ako sa thought ng passion na-amaze, you do things kung nasaan ang passion even you have nothing in return. Ang galing no. You do those things, kase gusto mo, kase you are fulfilled kapag ginawa mo yon. Ang overwhelming ng thought.
- What’s the difference between ‘living’ and ‘existing?’
- Hahahaha. Naalala ko yung 100 years of excellence ng UP versus 400 years of existence ng UST daw. Daw, so hindi originally galing sakin yung thought. Chill. Haha. Anyway.. living is existing while doing your purpose. The electric fan exists kapag turned off, pero it lives kapag naka-on ;)
- Are you willing to sacrifice the life of your child or lover to support a war?
- No :( I am so sorry.
- Do you ask enough questions, or do you settle for what you know?
- I ask questions pag kailangan may matutunan. Pero if I know it might hurt me, I do not ask ;)
- If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?
- At this very moment? Wala. Happy and contented ako today.
- If your life was a novel, what would be the title and how would your story end?
- Hmm, very worthy para maging last question :)
I would like it to end, well, as I always say, happy. I like the ending where I am sitting beside the man who was opened minded enough to tolerate my whole being in a couch outside my small white house along the beach. Or I may like also the ending where I am lying in a hospital bed alone, with no family that will cry on my side. Kahit ano man ending basta naging masaya ako at kuntento sa buhay kahit maraming nailuha :) Title? *winks and smug*
